Bayview Village Tennis Camp, One of the Greater Toronto Area’s Leading Tennis Clubs, Launches Summer 2014 Junior Tennis Camp Registration

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), April 30, 2014 – Bayview Village Tennis Camp (www.BayviewVillageTennisCamp.ca), the Greater Toronto Area’s leading provider of first-class tennis camps and clinics for players of all ages and skill levels, is pleased to announce it is launching its summer 2014 junior tennis camp registration for players ages four to 18.

A recognized Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) Junior Development Centre, the Bayview Village Tennis Camp is conducting 11 one-week tennis sessions run from Monday June 16 through to Friday August 29. Open to all junior players ages four to 18, the Bayview Village Junior Tennis Camp features first-rate facilities and sophisticated teaching techniques implemented by OTA-certified tennis professionals.

The 2014 Bayview Village Junior Tennis Camp is led by certified OTA level-III coach Peter Nielsen. A National Senior Champion, Nielsen was employed on the national coaching team for Tennis Canada and has been head pro at Bayview Village Tennis Club for more than 22 years.

“This is an exciting time at Bayview Village Tennis Club,” says Nielsen. “We have designed a performance-driven program that will help junior players take their game to the next level in a progressive, fun-filled manner.”

Nielsen explains that junior players can either register for the half-day or full-day program. The full-day program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and contains four hours of on-court tennis instruction, two hours of off-court sporting activities, and a one-hour lunch. The half-day program runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, focusing exclusively on tennis instruction.

Junior players are divided into small groups, with beginner and intermediate players practicing at a ratio of six players to one coach. Advanced and tournament level players, meanwhile, practice at a 4:1 ratio, though according to Nielsen, it’s smaller in some situations.

“Junior players of all skill levels receive instruction on the fundamentals of all the major strokes and enhance their strategic decision-making skills through on-court lessons, competitive drills, and competitive singles and doubles match play,” he adds. “To help them improve their game, all junior players receive a video analysis, written evaluation, and the benefits of a proven system endorsed by both the OTA and Tennis Canada.”

The summer 2014 Bayview Village Junior Tennis Camp runs for 11 consecutive weeks starting on Monday, June 16 and concludes on Friday, August 29, before the Labour Day long weekend. Costs vary depending on the length of the weekly program and skill level, with discounts for enrolment in multiple sessions.

“The Bayview Village Tennis Camp provides exceptional preparation for all junior players, whether they’re beginners or competing in tournaments in university or at the OTA level. In fact, since 1989, Bayview Village Tennis Club has won the OTA’s Junior Development Award 15 times,” Nielsen concludes. “We encourage all junior players to join our summer camp for an incredible week of tennis. We also suggest registering as soon as possible; since 1990, over 90% of sessions have been completely sold out!”
